T9814 Positive and Negative Law

     Positive law is Jesus Christ and negative law is the law of Moses. To love one another is positive law. This is the law of God written on our hearts, not on tables of stone.

     Negative law is based upon Adam's fall. The State considers everyone to be like fallen Adam and places the burdens of negative law upon both the righteous and the unrighteous.

     The ills of society will never be corrected with negative law. Loving one another fulfills the law. Our example is the righteousness of Christ, not the works of the law.
