T9831A Give It All Up!

     Following Christ means more than just giving up obvious sins, such as stealing and lying. It is a willingness to give up even our good things. Abraham was called upon to give up his promised son, Isaac. Moses was called to give up all the riches of Egypt for the greater riches in Heaven. The apostles forsook their nets, their worldly employment, and followed Christ.

     We at the Embassy of Heaven thought we were only required to give up the things of the world, but did we ever have a surprise coming. God even called us to give up the very ministry He had given us!
