T9936 Goodness Without Christ

     The goodness that we are going to receive is Christ Himself. Christ needs to be preached, not goodness. Seek Christ first, and goodness shall be added thereunto, because goodness is of Christ. Serve not goodness, serve Christ. And in serving Christ you will be good.

     We have to be careful that our goodness comes from Christ and not of ourselves. Many people trust in themselves that they are righteous, instead of trusting in Christ. "For by grace are ye saved through faith: and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God" (Ephesians 2:8).
